Default Manual telescoping/folding tow mirrors

Hi,

My truck came with the power, heated, turn signal, manual folding/telescoping tow mirrors. I bought the truck used and have read the manual but do not see how the mirror telescopes and/or folds. Don't want to break the things although it would give me an excuse to get smaller mirrors

So how are they folded or telescoped?

Edit: This is what they look like....

TIA

Just put your hand in the middle of the mirror and pull out mine are super hard and even when I fold them in there super stiff so the wind doesn't fold them

As long as they are manual then all you need to do is put one hand in the opening beside the mirror towards the door. Put your other hand on top of mirror and pull towards you. As for the fold just push or pull mirror towards the door.

Default Resurrecting this old thread for my 2020 XLT manual folding heated mirrors

Do these mirrors extend / telescope out manually? I want to be sure before I really yank on them and risk messing them up. They seem like they don’t want to pull out. Or, should I just pull away and trust they’ll eventually telescope without any damage?

Folding is easy...

But the telescoping...not so much. This is my first truck, so I’m still a novice with pretty much everything on the truck as I use it. Learned a lot so far on this site. Thanks in advance for the advice.
