Power Fold Mirrors - Swap threads?
EDIT: For a 2009-2014 (if that makes any difference, I found a thread for a 2018) ( https://www.f150forum.com/f118/2018-...s-list-489445/ )
Happy Friday Yall!
Can anyone point me towards a power fold mirror swap/install? EDIT: For a 2009-2014 XL
My long bed will just fit in our garage, its tight, but I have to fold in the mirrors for it to get through the single width garage door, thinking power mirrors can make life a little easier, and give me an excuse to further mod the truck.
Thanks in advance yall !

I had kept track of a power fold mirror thread when I had a 2011 with manual tow mirrors but since the site upgraded their design back in 2020, all my posts and links to that thread are gone. I'll try to see if I can dig it up somewhere, but I know at a minimum you will need to replace the Driver's Seat Module (DSM) with a brand new one (not used) after you get the power folding mirrors installed. No programming is necessary.
And of course, you will also need a power folding switch.
Depending upon trim level of your factory truck, you may or may not have the appropriate wiring already installed; essentially, the more basic your model is, the worse off you will be in terms of having to redo your wiring.

In that case, I'm up the proverbial creek..... In an XL.
Thank you for your input. All I've been able to find is 15+ and some older superduty swaps

I replaced the mirrors on my 2013 XLT for that exact reason. I got tired of getting out to fold the mirrors in/out to get in and out of the garage. I ordered aftermarket versions from 1A Auto. They were perfect. Pretty much bolt in replacements, but as noted since I did not have the factory wiring needed, I had to run a power wire off a fuse tap at the panel and also drill a hole in my dash for the provided switch. Best mod I've done so far to this truck. Especially on days when it's pouring rain.

Here are mine on install day:
Although it's for earlier year models, I used this video to assist me with the install:

Here is the very in-depth link to Folding Mirrors on f-150.
There are both installs with an aftermarket switch as done by Joe F above, as well as the full OEM install route. You will have to read through most of the thread to find the posts that work for you.
