Lund purchased the company: "prestige" fender flares. I had a set on my son's 2006 F150, and will probably but another set for his 2013 that he just got too. They are pretty good fender flares!

I have Bushwacker Extend-A Fender flares and very happy with them. I've owned their flares on almost every truck I owned. Never had any paint damage (that I ever noticed), but they always came with rubber edge trim (or gimp) to help protect the paint. I do take care of my vehicles & wash the regularly... again NEVER noticed any paint damage - ever.

BTW: Bushwacker makes 2 types of "pocket style" flares.
Part number: 20927-02 goes above the "brow" and cover a little over 2" of coverage.
Part number: 20929-02 goes right below the "brow" line (just like their Extend-A Fender does) and gives 1 1/2" of coverage.

It's all what you like and what you prefer to add to the look of your truck.

Back on track to the OP... Glad you like them (Lund) & thanks for the pics & review of them.

Yes they do, and after extensive discussion with the Bushwacker rep there's no pleasing me I guess, because the flares that you have 9which I really like, BTW) stick out too far for my taste. I have 285/75R17s, and come right to the edge of the FX4 oem flares. 2 1/2" more flare is more than I want. I feel I would need to run 35x12.5s to make the set up look right (to me).

I hear what you're saying, but my '06 FX4 Ranger had oem pocket style flares that were quite "full", and it looked really sharp (to me), but only extended out about 1 1/2". THAT is the look I'm going for. I've seen a LOT of F150s with flares, and I just can't get over how unfinished they all look when they leave that 1" gap between the flare and the fender "brow". It's like someone either cheaped-out or it belongs on a different truck. What is the point of leaving that 1" exposed? Look a Raptor's flares, they go all the way up to the body line. THAT is the look I'm going for: "clean" lines.

But, these thoughts are all based on *MY* tastes... YMMV

Yeah, my wheels were 0 offset and had 305/55 tires on that truck and they could've been pushed out probably .25-.5" more to be perfect!
