Default lower grill insert?

I have a 2013 Limited. Has anyone installed a lower grill insert? Boost-bars makes one to match the grill. Any info on intercooler problems with restricted airflow? Thx

There is a post somewhere that links to a site that sells the lower grill insert to exactly match your grill style. It looks sharp. Looks factory as if your grill continues below. They are $76-100 but are well worth it.

I have the lower insert from boost-bar on my 12 FX4 and couldn't imagine having anything else there. I have had in on there for over a year and have not had any inter cooler/turbo problems and do not foresee anything going wrong because of it.

You will not be disappointed. It is very high quality, protects against even the smallest of debris, and allows plenty of airflow. Best EB grill insert I have found and only $35! I just set it in place and secured with two zip ties. Installation took about 1 minute. My dealer service manager had no issues with it and even asked me about it. He got one for his EB.

I got the Chrome version of this...looks sharp, much better than the open hole in the bumper, and I haven't had any issues. I picked up some small nuts and bolts with lock washers instead of using the fasteners included with the insert. Holds sturdy and was a quick and easy install.

I just cut a rectangle out of some expanded metal and plastidipped it black. It cost me nothing as it was a piece of scrap but I am sure you could get a piece at a hardware store or tractor supply for not too much.
