Default late dealer charges and Fx running boards

I have recently got a 2011 Fx4 sterling gray scab and freakin love it.
I do have two concern,I'd like to see what my fellow F150 owners think.

1) I've had the truck about 2 weeks and because of my work schedule I work alot of nights(Radiology at a hosptial) anyways, I was taking my buddy for ride a couple of days and ago and as we walked around he made mention of the chrom running board looked good. Long story short. the Driver side and color matching running board and the passenger side has chrome. I do not have the chrome package and do not want any chrome.
I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow to see what they'll do. the local dealer had to travel about 600 miles round trip to get the truck and charged my around $300 to go get it. I dont know if that will have any effect on the out come or not?

2) the orignal dealer had installed a Ford drop in bed liner as a dealer option. because it was not on the window sticker I was not charged the extra $400 for it. I honestly did not know it was not included. he said the had to right the dealer a check for it and from the email he sent me he implyed they wanted me to pay it back.
I dont think I am liable to pay it for one it was not part of the purchase agrement I signed i have already possion of the truck. and second I dont even want it as i want to get it line x'd. if they try to charge me should I say just take it out and i'll take all of my service to the dealership in the next town.

Sorry for the long read.

The FX boards are painted, no chrome anywhere. Maybe installed at the other dealer?

My FX4 came with factory chome running boards, so have nearly all the FX4's I've seen, perhaps a Canadian difference in my case...

2011 FX4 Running Boards are painted from the factory, unless your dealer put them on after market in which case something could of gotten mixed up.

Your purchase is completed. They can't come back to you and ask you for money for something they didn't realize was on the truck, not can they take back the bed liner. That would be theft. I wouldn't give it to them as it has value even if you take it out and sell it.

I can't see how you are liable for their mistake, I can see how they are liable for mismatched running boards.
Mine also had preinstalled bed liner.
I said I'd take it.
Sales man said good because shop guys hate taking them back out.
If your going to get line x, throw them a bone, and let them take the bed liner.
It will foster a good relationship with the dealer which is key.
Better than them saying, "here comes THAT GUY" when you come in....
