ive sold a few things this year to members on here w/o a problem. spoke to them on the phone and such. the items where anywhere from $60 to $200...not a huge deal and didnt want to do paypal because of issues before w/account security.

figured id do it the old fashion way, make buyer call me directly and "feel them out" over the phone. this was working just fine and resulted in some very fun conversations with forum members all over the country.

this particular sale has been the only bad experience w/a forum member, so i thought maybe he was just not logging into the site or something.. basically, a last gasp effort to collect my $110 and give him benefit of the doubt.

...and ill be sure to let ya'all know when pigs fly as well.

All kinds of red flags, member for a few days, only two posts. Sorry OP but he scammed you it looks like.

File the police report, get some of it back on tax returns.

That sucks, but I have to agree with you totally on liking to do business the old fashioned way. I hate internet sales, paypal, etc. I have bought and sold over forums old way. And yes I would much rather send a check. And most times I tell seller when check clears send me the goods!!! So they know they have the money. And luckily I've always received the products.

Good luck with your deal
