Default Looking for Airbags to help with towing, need help!

I am looking to add airbags to the rear suspension of my truck. I tow a #8000 TT and its sinks the back end a little more than I would like.

Where do I even start with air bags? I have literally zero knowledge about them. Thanks in advance.

if you want to keep it simple, Firestone makes a great kit, the part number is 2525. I had them on my 2010 and they worked great. I towed around 7,000 lbs, not sure what the tongue weight was but it was very high, and with about 40psi in the bags the rear was actually still sitting higher than the front. they safely hold 100psi. there are some fancier kits that have electronic controls and on-board compressors, but I'm not sure who makes them.

Look at the thread I started on the install of my Firestone airbags & Airlift compressor.
The Firestone bags are great!
It's pretty straight forward. You can just go with the air bags now & always add on the compressor later & do it in stages if you want.

Yes. FIRESTONE is great product. I have them on my '14 supercrew. I also have a set of AIRLIFT on my '04 supercrew. Never had a problem with either set. Super easy to install yourself. I inflate mine manually. If you have the extra cash for the pump install, then do it. You won't be disappointed either way.

You might also want to consider Super Springs, which is a helper spring added to the top of your leaf pack. Most F150s will use part number SSA28. They get great reviews and you don't have to deal with air lines, compressors, etc. Just bolt them on and forget about them, they have no effect until you have a load. There are some positive threads in this forum about them.

My TT is around the same weight as yours, I'm looking hard at the Super Springs...

I put the airlift extreme bags on mine. loaded a ton of pellets for a pellet stove and it barely sagged, basically brought it back down to level after 75-80 lbs of air in them...

Air Lift bags and Viair compressor here.
Bags are fairly easy to install, I had to cut some of the bolts as they were too long.
You can get a compressor or not. Since I have an air horn I already had the compressor.
If you don't want to get a compressor now, you can just run individual lines for each bag to the bumper and inflate there.
No complaints with the Air Lift bags here.

I had the airlift bags on my 2010. I had 1800lbs of tile in the bed and they handled it great

I should hope so, that's barely half a ton. I recently hauled 3 tons (6,000 lbs) of sand and my stock suspension handled it just fine.
