Default Looking for advice on bug deflectors

2014 in Blue jean, XLT with the chrome factory grill. Want to buy the most functional & best looking bug/rock deflector. I'm thinking smoke color to blend in with the dark blue. Looked at OEM ford, vigilante premium by stampede, AVS aero skin. I still can't make up my mind. Really looking for best functioning one for rocks & bug deflection more so than the looks but still have memories of those old straight up shields from the past, (damn they were ugly). Shoot me some pics if you got em!

I went with the oem f150. I think I paid $50 on Amazon. IMO I liked the look over the others and its seems to be a little sturdier than AVS.

So the OEM Ford will probably last longer than these other ones? I know the OEM Ford deflector is selling for $25-40 more than these other brands. Must be a reason??

If you are going for looks, get the OEM one.

If going for function, try something like 3M Chip Guard, protects the same but does not produce the wind noise of a bug guard.

I've got the Stampede behind the grill type... I haven't put it on yet tho, I really need to get around to doing that.

I second the stampede. It is a bit more involved to install though, but the look is worth it. I went with the stampede so my winter front wouldn't look goofy overlapping the the bugflector

Just my opinion but....I've had them and found that they cause more wind noise or turbulence around the cab when you start cranking the windows down. I have to agree with NASSTY that the trucks look better without them. Hope you end up with something functional that doesn't cause more problems in the end for you.
