Default Looking.........

OMG!!! I am looking for a screw and I am in love with the Platinum! My wife wants to kill me but when doesn't she over things with wheels! lol!! So I went to the bank to see what rates were on used and I was surprised, 2.5% for 72 if it's 2006 and newer. I have found the one I want, a beautiful bright red metalic with light gray interior Platinum!! Now I just need to get her to see it my way and buy it! She want to wait until after tax time.....meh! Wish me luck!!! LOVE this site btw!

I know the feeling. The day I was going to buy my truck I had to work earlier, and the whole time I couldn't focus on anything!

Wait till after tax time? Ha ha...get it now, because you may not get or find what your looking for after tax time. Tell her to call me, I'm always in agreement when it is time to go look and purchase a vehicle. Especially a nice red truck...ha ha ha

Good luck bud. Some women just don't understand. I know I'm one of the lucky ones who has a Wifey that says get what you want. You can't take it with you. But, I'm probably a bit older than most on the forum.

same here. i have never asked to buy a vehicle or really planned to buy one in the future. if i decide to buy one i just do it, most times she does not know it till i come home with it. i get her a new car when i want her to have one. you have to raise a wife right. helps when you marry an only child and her father was the same way.

My wife is very thrifty when it comes to money. Alwasys has been. I do thank her for that in some respects. But when it comes to me and wheels, well she just doesn't get it. I have been driving for 27 years and have had 32 different vehicles to drive in that time. If it were up to just me, I would just go buy one. You guys who have the "understanding wifes" are SO lucky. I remember when I was a kid, my dad and I went to the store one day and well after test driving a few new Buick 225 converts and well we came home with a new LeSabre. My mom didn't speak to him for a week. I don't even think she rode in it until she had to. LOL!!! Hmmmmmm the apple didn't fall far here I guess. I'll keep pushing until she sees it my way...wink wink.

I'm one to say, life is short, live it, enjoy it and be happy. If getting a new vehicle, "Toys", or whatever does not cause a strain on the finances, cause something else to lack because of it, then do it. We have a $100.00 rule in our house, anything over 100.00 is talked about and agreed on. My husband has worked hard, worked long hours and taken care of the kids while I have to travel with my job, so when he want stuff, I am in agreement because he deserves it and then some. My husband is awesome.

Oh yeah, she was pretty mad. I like that $100 rule. We both work hard. We have a 2 year old son and he keeps us both going ALL the time. Car relax me. Washing, waxing, and detailing are my therapy. lol!
