Default Lock Pick Alternative?

Now I can watch DVD's while driving.

I made this tray so I can use my laptop when parked. It works very good so far.

Maybe I am missing something but what does this have to do with lock picks?

Newbie here!

I'm very impressed with your tray. I'm sure I don't have your woodworking skills, but I'd still like to attempt to build one myself. Unfortunately, I don't have my truck yet.

The order has been pulled from the dealership, but production hasn't started. I'll probably get in end of Feb or early March...

So, I was wondering if you had a plan or pattern you would be willing to share?

Cheers!

I saw a picture of a similar type tray made of plastic and decided to make one out of wood. I started with a piece of cardboard and some scissors. I made a cutout that would fit around the steering wheel. After several adjustments I made a template on some plywood and cut it out. I then made sure that it would hold my laptop. I made adjustments to the size so my Blackberry and mouse could sit on the tray. I also had to make sure that my growing stomach did not interfere.
I will attach a photo showing the cutout. The size of my tray is 22 inches by 13 inches. If you need anything else, I would be glad to help.

Thank you much! This will definitely help. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait until I actually have a steering wheel to be able to verify the accuracy of the "cutout".

In the mean time, can you tell me if there is any kind of angle on the "cutout", or is just a plain square angle-cut?

Thanks again.
