Default Lift options

Hello again: I'm looking for some lift info, I got a 2012 scab 4x4, and I'm looking between 4-6 in of lift.... Basically looking to retain stock to semi stock ride quality... But to no avail, I haven't been able to find any info on the web .... I figured since this is an F-150 forum.. And I have seen some lifted trucks, maybe some one can shine a little light to the questions at hand.... Thanks

The real question is how much $ do you have? For a 6" you have really 2 options BDS' basic kit ~$2,100+/- installed depending on where you live and what offroad shops you have around you. Or BDS' premium kit base, cost is around ~$3,200 + install. Both kits come with replacement shocks for the the front, which is why most ppl on here prefer it (no crappy giant spacers). The premium kit that BDS offers has FOX Coilovers in the the front and FOX rear shocks. The FOX coilovers can be adjusted up to 8" of lift and provide a very very nice ride from what I hear.

4" lift Rancho.....replacement schocks no spacers, quality parts, etc.

I have a basic BDS 6" love it . Rides great but you will lose factory ride if you upgrade to 10 ply mud tires so don't expect a silky smooth ride...just sayin.

Thanks, I'll look into rancho... I have 10 ply right now and I found that the truck is more responsive and grippy compared to the stock... So I don't mind a stiffer ride. I was hoping that the lift would make the truck more tippy than stock

As stated before, you will notice more difference in ride quality with the 10 ply tires than you will in any of the lifts mentioned. The other consideration is where are you looking to keep the stock ride, on the road, on the trail, offroad etc?

I have the BDS 6" with the Fox Coilovers and the ride on the road is close to stock with the 35" Toyo MT's. Offroad the ride should be far superior with the lift and upgraded shocks.
