Default Leveling kits; which one to choose?

Forum,
I know there are lots of pictures out of everyone's truck with their installed leveling kits but I don't see any threads discussing why everyone chose the one they did. What factors led to your decision: price, quality, reputation, height varieties, etc?

I'm looking to install one but so many options out there. Also, are the inches referenced in the level kits the true height the front or rear will actually raise the vehicle?

Let me hear your thoughts.

Newb...

I chose the Bilstein 5100 leveling shock because:
A) I've always had good experience with Bilstein in the past - I get a better shock in the process.
B) I liked that I could choose the approximate amount of lift - knowing that it's a PITA to change it, do your research & math and choose wisely!

I had spacers, 1.5" on my '06 SCrew. Did that because it was economical and that's what was needed at the time. Rode fine, just like stock. Traded that truck last year.

Decided on the '13 to raise the bar a bit. With the backorder status of the Bilsteins I didn't want to take that route. Plus there were mixed reviews on ride quality at the various heights. I ended up with BOSS coilovers from F150Lifts.com and I'm 100% pleased with the ride. It definitely isn't the least expensive option, but the ride quality far surpasses my expectations. Mine are set a little lower than some...I netted a 2" height increase.

Regardless, hit up Alex over there at F150lifts...he has everything from spacers to full blown kits. He can get you set up in any way possible.

If you are going to go with spacers to keep factory ride Auto Spring Corp is imho the best. They are steel, not aluminum or plastic and they have a built in offset to clear the uca's. I have had them on my last 2 trucks and the last one had 203,000 when I sold it without issues.

I've gone with Autospring on my last two because I like the steel, they're affordable, they sell them in a kit with larger rear blocks, and I have not heard a single negative thing about them. I'm sure the other popular kits work well if people continue to buy them. I just like to stick with what I know.

We also have everything you might need. We answer the phone if you wanted to call and ask questions, our products are lifetime warrantied. Unlike most of the others we use screw in zinc plated studs in 6061 T-6 Billet, can't rust and no way for them to come loose with screw in studs. This is what they look like:

Interesting. I was looking at doing the Camburg Kit on my truck. Would love to have the coilovers up front and shocks in the rear.

Just waiting on the tires to go away and do it all in one sweep. Going to keep researching though. I agree with the amount of kits out there making it difficult to filter out the ones you are wanting to use.
