Default Leveling kit problem need help!

Hi I have just bought a 2.5 inch leveling kit, its a pro comp kit. I have a 2010 F-150 FX4 with a 5.4 motor. I installed the kit last saturday and my problem is that the upper control arm where it meets the lower one where the ball joint sits in place. After putting in my kit I used a spring compresser and conected the ball joint but now it sits way to close to my springs, when I go over big bumps or even I lift the truck up the ball joint hits the spring. Is there any spacer or anything I can do to make more space between the springs and control arm? Thanks a lot.

dos the procomp puck in spring? if so I would pull it out and get a spacer that goes on top of the strut. Hellbent, autospring, readylift etc etc....

why did you need a spring compressor for anything?

I used to have the pro comp kit on my 04. I never had a problem driving and the arm hitting the spring, but when I jacked the truck up off the ground it would contact. So, if you plan on doing alot of stump jumping, then it is gonna hit. I personally decided to sell my kit and this was one of my concerns, I just didnt like looking up at my spring, with my truck on the lift, and seeing it warped because the upper control arm was pushing it! My next concern was that I wanted to keep the factory wheels and when I put the kit on, it pulled the front wheels closer to each other, not that much but still, it was begging for wide rims!!!!! My final concern was that I would turn my fog lights on during those early morning drives to work and I would get flashed every time I passed a car!!!! So, I ended up lowering the rear 2" with the ford racing shackle kit, removing the pro comp kit on the front and then adding a few washers to the top of the strut to level the truck. Nowhere near the ground clearance but the truck is still level, which was the only thing I needed, I dont go off road that much. Just my two cents.

You need the offset spacers in the newer trucks. I installed an Auto Spring kit 2" in mine, I still have contact at full droop but I don't think any kit completely fixes that.

you are correct... the only "fix" would be to get some aftermarket control arms
