Well....I leveled it, but didn't lift it!

I bought some DJM 2" drop shackles from forum member panthercity (thanks Bob!).

The arch of the rear fender wells is 1/2" higher than the fronts now (rear was 2-1/2" higher before - so I got exactly a 2" drop with the shackles), and it looks nice and level now.

I went with 275/70R/18 BFG All Terrain KOs (to avoid noticeable changes in MPGs) and a 2" HBS leveling kit. The tires fit fine without the level, but I like the extra height. I've ordered 2" blocks for the back from Supreme Suspension to put back a very slight (.75") rake. I'll post another pic when those come in and are installed. I also found a set of chrome mirror skull caps at AM Autoparts Service that install just like the OEM caps, but they were $32 shipped for a pair. I think Taska had them listed over $50 per cap. They installed easily and look sharp.

So what do you think?
We are running the same setup except I am running the BFG Rugged Terrains in that size, 275/70R18s. The dealer where I got my tires said he couldn't find the All Terrains. Regardless I have fallen in love with the Rugged Terrains, a great tire!

Nice truck!, I am really indecisive as to whether or not I like the style of the pocket flares. Looks good on your truck though!

Default new to site new to f150s

I have 2004 lariat 4x4 and was wondering if I was running stock wheels would putting a leveling kit onto it make it look goofy until I got the bigger more aggressive looking tires?

A lot of people do it.. I don't think it looks the best but it's not like it is ridiculous!

I'm seriously stuck I want to get a leveling kit for my Platinum I just bought but cant decide between The rough country kit and the auto spring kit. they both look the closest to level IMHO. My question is why does the RC have the rear shocks with the kit? Is there a reason for that? And are the shocks any good?
