Default 6" Zone Strut Length???

Currently in the middle of installing my 6" Zone lift. I just removed the Bilstein shocks I have been running. When compared to the Zone shocks, they are LONGER!... How is this possible?

It looks as though I will never be able to compress the front spring enough to get the top mount back on. Is this correct or did I receive the wrong parts? Thankfully, I haven't cut anything yet so I can still go back to the Bilsteins. Just a day lost I guess.

...Of course, being a Saturday everything is closed.

Turn the shaft on the zone strut, it looks to be in the compressed position from the factory.

This, most companies lock them in the compressed position for shipping, turn the shaft or compress it further and it should release to the fully extended position.

OMG.... I am a ****ing idiot....

It's been an interesting morning dealing with seized / rusted bolts. That is EXACTLY what the "problem" was.

Just letting you know... The directions probably said that as well. :-)
