Yes, but it appears that was for not having amber side markers. It looks like these do, so they obviously learned their lesson!!

Actually the recall info is on their site:

http://www.sabersport.com/recall_info.html

They are not trying to hide it.

It looks like you re-use the stock reverse lights and holdes for the reverse part of those lenses.

FYI- I replaced my filament ones with 1W LED bulbs and its dimmer, but still viewable.

Turn signals don't have to be amber... They can be white... no idea why the recall.

True.. the lens doesn't have to be amber... but, the assembly must appear amber to other drivers when activated.

Some achieve this by using amber bulbs... but then the assembly looks like egg yolks.

Others use silver-plated bulbs that burn amber when activated.

Here in Ontario, rear facing turn signals can only be red, or amber. White is not acceptable as a turn signal colour, nor is green, purple, certainly not blue.

I think the previous recall was due to the lack of sieways facing light lumens. LEDs are very directional, so unless there are explicit LEDs facing the side, there is not enough side marker illumination and they would fail DOT inspection.

In most countries all turn signals have to be amber. In North America rear signals can be red or amber, front must be amber. Turn signals cannot be white.
