Default Help with heated seats

My FX4 has heated seats. The passenger seats works but the driver does not. The only fuse for heated seats I could find in the manual was for the passenger. Does anyone know where the driver heated seat fuse is located or if there is another problem I need to investigate?

Yes, both the driver and passenger do, top and bottom.

Default Help with heated seats

I brought my '12 FX4 into the dealer for the drivers heated seat (heated and cooled). It seemed to be working just not very well. The pass seatwould get real toasty but the drivers not so much. They replaced the manifold in the seat that the air flowed through. They said it was crushed. Since then it has been great.

Not sure on the resistance value but as long as there's continuity that should rule out a failed heating element

what year is your truck and does it have the heated and cooled function or just heat?

If it has both functions, does the cooled function work? It shouldn't either. The heated and cooled seat functions different then traditional heating pads, a peltier device is installed in the seat, and a fan circulates the air. Chances are you have a problem with one of them.

You could check the filter under the seat, if it's clogged the seat won't have an air flow and won't produce heat or cooled

It's an 11. It just has heat. The passenger fuse is #69 under the hood on this one, labled as passenger heated/cooled seat. There is a separate 1 for rear heated seats (not optioned on my truck).

In that case do you have heat anywhere lower seat or back rest?
