Obvious clues:

- No comparative beam shots to actual Good lighting sources like factory HID. Why? because they'd fail the comparison. In point of fact, the beam pattern isn't even as good as factory halogen.

- Using a silly, ineffective, useless little fan for thermal management

- 'Clocking' is a spectacularly bad joke - it's unequivocally NO substitute for proper, precise emitter physics. 110% pure BS junk science and gibberish.

... there is much more, but the link below is quite apropos, and saves me from doing a LOT of additional typing (I guess you fellers never bothered to read back through this thread - no surprise, lol).

No offense taking. Like I said I will work on some apples to apples comparison. Not to argue over but to shed some light on the actual differences. (Yes I meant to do that)

This is correct, the garage is further that 10 feet away in both the pictures. These pictures were to show the actual cut offs, not distance. I will work on getting some distance pictures. Also the f150 has a 2.5 level and 35s. Something worth mentioning. Thanks for taking this information as I had intended.

Coming from a Toyota FJ and a Tacoma, both of those respective forums have members that have been running LEDs for a couple of years now. Light transmission and displacement with a FJ or Tacoma headlight housing wasn't the issue. It was and is comparable with slight distance improvement to a halogen bulb. Different kelvin temp obviously. The biggest problem was QC. So many failures early on with the Lifetime LED kits. Lifetime LED came out with a new kit and then charged more for it. They would take exchanges from first gen kit owners but they would have to pay the difference. Lifetime's big claim was the Lifetime warranty but when there was a failure every month it became worthless.

The only LED kits I would endorse are the Philips Ultinon kits. They are not available for every bulb type and are mostly made for fogs but they have the R&D and the name to back up their product. They are not cheap, either. At the cost of the Philips, you might as well do a retro. Plus, I don't think Philips makes an LED option for our headlights.

Screw4us, what led setup are you using? ( sorry if I looked over it). You happy with the distance takeover to stock halogen?

Thx

Here is the link to the ones I purchased after getting another members opinion on them as well. I am happy with the distance on them but I will be comparing with a buddies 2013 f150 with factory projectors here soon. Maybe sometime I will throw the stock bulbs back in for some comparison pics as well.

Did you replace your stock bulbs with these? And did they require any modification?

this is the same set i had from Boostbars, and they are plug and play. i took them out as i didnt like the spread, and switched to jdmaster h13 headlights and i likes those alot better as i can rotate the bulb in the housing to get optimal output.

They are plug and play, no modifications needed to fit.

I just switched up my order a little. Picked both the JD Mastar H13 headlights and the fog lights. Cost nearly twice as much for the JD Mastar headlights as for the others, however they say they put out more light.

Eta is end of next week, so I will try to get some before/after shots to show.

if you look in my build thread you can see the diffrence in the boostbars led headlights and the jdmaster ones. also i would HIGHLY recomend the morimoto fog lights over everything
