Anybody remove the original skid plate? Was it hard or leave a mess? Thanks!

started to install mine today. found one issue - i think it was mentioned somewhere. the wires were transposed on the wires that are sent to tap into the car wires. they are transposed at the connectors so mine connect red to black and black to red.

also, my tape has no stick to it at all. it is 37 here but the lights have been in the house for two days. when i pulled the red off they are barely even tacky. does this need to be activated somehow? help!

I have a question and a pic request Can I get a pic of the underside of the kick plate? How do these attach? Are they taped on? The stock ones have three tabs that click into place to keep the from being "kicked" off

A heat gun will solve this problem.

holy f, there are more dam purple wires on the front. thought i found the right one that has 12v but it won't light it. strange, i can't imagine there isn't enough current on that one. did not check yet to see if it drops when lights are off.

Just got my set from china. Brushed stainless and blue LED's. Installing on an 06 and have a quick question. Has anyone installed on an 04-08 and if so does the black protector piece that comes stock have to be removed, or can I just wipe everything down with alcohol and tape them down right over it. Also does a hole have to be drilled to get the wires into the channel, because mine has a plug on the wires that would have to fit thru also. Thanks for any tips.
