Ok, we're having some issues. We tapped into the orange at the 7pin but it's not registering on the volt meter. My step dad disconnected the connector from the back of the harness and it fell off. No clip or anything and it's still didn't read. We didn't take the harness out of the bag or the fuse with it from the glove box.

From what I understand that glovebox harness is to make the hot wire constant when the key is off. I don't want to make it that way.

My truck didn't come with a owners manual to identify fuses, can someone tell me which fuse is for the 7pin so we can check it?

Was the key on when you checked the voltage?

For the front bulkhead, I wiped it down real good with windex and used the adhesive on the light strip. It's been a few months and no sagging.

Yes, the key was on. The motor was running too.

I spoke to a buddy whose a ford tech. He said they didn't put the fuse in place. I had it in the dash and put it into #21. I've taken a dinner break but I'll check it and report back

All figured out. I had to install the fuse into #21 and relay into #9. We did that and bam! Instant power. Looks great, I just have to tuck my wires up and zip tie wires under the bed and voila.
My switch was the round one and it was snug in the hole from the spray on bed. I cut some liner and hand hammered to make it fit.

Thanks for helping toshbar.

How is everyone's led strips holding up? I have line x and I was wondering what everyone was using to keep their light strips in place. Toshbar has a good idea but I was going to put the strips on with a couple drops of silicone adhesive, what does everyone else use for gluing them on a spray in bed liner cause I'm sure that tape on the back of the strips doesn't hold well in there

I used auto/marine grade silicone that comes in those little tubes. I used painters tape to temporarily hold the LED strip in place while the silicone cured. The next morning I removed the tape and the LED strip was on there pretty good. This was in winter too.

It also comes off pretty cleanly. I accidentally peeled one of the strips off the bed because I had snagged something on the short bit of exposed wire. I noticed that there was virtually no silicone residue on the bed (it was all on the back of the LEDs). I simply re-applied silicone right over the old stuff and stuck it back on, no problem.

I just bought 20' of flexible, water proof LEDs from Amazon. They have a 3m adhesive backing that has held well for two years now. IIRC there are 600 LEDs and it was $20 for the roll.

I wired directly to battery so I didn't need to get in cab or have keys if I wanted the lights on. Used a waterproof lighted switch and it fir perfectly in the hole for the bed divider option.

I did this 2 yrs ago using waterproof led strips, 4' per side and a non waterproof rocker switch. Mounted the switch in the bed extender hole on the d.s., Still working great!

I also have a tonneau cover, so...
