LED Bedlights
#191
i got mine done and installed this weekend, didn't take long at all. I went with 2 of the led bars from superbright and they are plenty bright to light up the whole bed under the tonneau.
On my 2012, i didn't have the angle bed side under the rail, so I fabbed some brackets from angle iron and mounted with heavy duty 3m tape.
I tapped the cargo light wire so them come on with the unlock button.

bump.. thanks to this thread I just finished doing this myself.
I picked up a strip of cuttable LED lights from amazon,
and a few basic switches which I placed in the tray at the front of the center console.
Sorry I don't have pictures of the switches, but they turned out great using a 13/16" boring bit in a drill once I took the tray out of the center console. I had to trim a bit of the lower center console piece in order for the switch wiring to fit. I can get more pictures if anyone would like, just PM me for that as I dont' check this board very often.
The lights came with sticky tape on them already and so far they've stuck just fine. I might end up having to stick them down better, some good 3M super baller tape will work i'm sure.
I just put them level with the bottom of the inside of the bed rail, on the bed itself.

I did mine today. I ran the flexible sealed black strips cut to 50" per side with the 5050 SMD chips.
A lot brighter than the LEDs I used on my previous truck. Power was tapped into the trailer harness as per post #1. I spliced the orange wire and undid the ground bolt and added a terminal vs splicing that white wire.
