Question Need help with Sync and Remote Start

Ok I have a 2011 F150XLT SuperCrew with a Viper Responder LE remote start. My problem is when I remote start the truck I have no Sync. Before you say it the Ford remote start systems do not work where I have to start my truck at night so the factory option is not a solution. Is there anyway I can make the two systems work with each other?

Have you talked to your installer about this issue? They would probably know the most about the viper system.

I'd say whoever installed your starter did it wrong. No properly wired starter will have any effect on stereo system.

Won't be able to talk to the installer until Monday so I was hoping someone here would have an answer. Odd thing is the am/fm sterio works.

when you say you have no sync what exactly dont you have? Is it just not connected to your phone via bluetooth or when you press the button nothing happens?

When I press the button nothing happens. No phone, no line in, no usb, no voice prompts, phone will not connect. If I turn the engine off, take out the key, open and close the door, restart the engine with the key then sync comes back and works normally. Just a pain that I have to do all that when it's already running.

I also noticed if I lock the doors with the IKT the interior lights go out (as they should) but when I lock the doors with the viper remote they do not. Makes me think they are not interfaced correctly, like he missed a connection during the install?

well i know that if i have someone go and start my truck and im not in it the sync will not be connected to the phone since when it was turned on, there was no blue tooth device to connect to. But if im in the truck and i start it, it will connect automatically. If i hit the phone button it will "searching for devices" and then connect to my phone. Is this even an option with your situation?

I think he is saying that Sync, aka voice control, doesn't work.

Press button, lady doesn't talk.

When I push the button nothing happens. It acts like sync is not installed.
