So I am a little different from most on here. I have already replaced the door speakers and have added a custom built box with a JL 10TW3-D4. I am curious and interested in this part of the Kicker system:

"door speakers powered by a Kicker 184 watt RMS 4.1-channel Digital-Signal-Processing (DSP) amplifier"

By reading this it would seem that one could just replace the factory amp with this one. Is that possible and is it that easy? Does that provide a noticeable difference to the door speakers?

Just an FYI - One of the sellers on eBay has the complete crew cab kit for $499 w/free shipping. This is the lowest price I've seen for new. I've had my eye on this for awhile, and the price dropped low enough for me to order one this morning. This is the kit that includes the sub and amp, multichannel amp, and speakers.

I don't need the speakers since I have infinity kappas already installed. I figured I can sell the kicker speakers for a few bucks to recoup some of the cost.

I installed the kit today, and the difference is excellent. It brought my existing infinity speakers to life, and the sub provides solid low end with good response.

Has anyone installed the kicker sub with a rear floor mat like Husky or Weather Tech?

I have husky floor mats. But the rear mat doesn't go all the way under the back seat though.

My Husky mat does go all the way under the rear seat so it covers the entire rear floor with the seats folded up. It has an embossed cut out for the factory sony sub, but the kicker appears larger.

Default Kicker System ?

You will need to cut the liner (probably every type of all weather floor mat out there needs to be cut) for the kicker sub. Trust me it's worth it. The Sony sub is unacceptable. Kicker sub makes me enjoy music again along with my infinity speakers.

The Sony sub only has I believe 70watts going to it. The kicker has 200 watts.
