Hey guys I just purchased a 2014 Super cab FX4 with the myfordtouch with sony system. Mine has the factory sony sub under the rear passenger side seat. Will the $260 Kicker sub work with my truck? Does it replace the factory sub in the stock location or will I need to relocate the jack to the passenger side?

It fits your truck, you will have to move the jack! most OP just put it in a under seat storage box on the p.s.!

Just installed mine this weekend in my 14. The biggest PIA is really just the wiring and crawling around. Aside from that sounds great looks completely factory and really isn't that bad of an install if you have a few hours to spare.

Just finished the install, super easy! But I have the sony system and only had to do the sub. And man what a difference! This is what the factory sony was missing. I almost did a clean sweep but wanted to try this first. It's not as good as some of the bigger systems I've built in the past, but I'm more then happy with the sound, fit, and price. Well worth the 295 shipped and 1.5 hrs of time. If your on the fence and have the sony system add this you wont be disappointed!

Curious what everyone is setting their EQs to. Is there a "technical optimal setting" to get the most out of the system or is user preference the way to go? Previously I kept my bass and treble at the max and mid at the lowest setting. This doesn't quite work out too well especially with Bluetooth streaming. With the sound already "processed" before getting to the head unit it proves to be too much bass. I tried turning the eq on my phone off but that sounds horrible.

I have my bass set at "0" or +1 most days. The mids about +2 and the highs at +3 or +4. This allows a few more clicks of volume before the processor starts cutting signal.
