I ant remember the exact gauge of the wire, but you'll want the Red Posi Taps.

Yep, same thing I used. I feel a lot better about these as I believe they will last and not give me any issues. I had a hard time finding them too. Went to three different parts places. Finally found them at Pepboys.

Yea Beau, they aren't as popular as those cheap blue "scotch loc" connectors, (mainly because they cost more about $1 each)...but the next best thing to the Posi tap connectors is firing up the soldering gun.
These taps are great!
I always still put a squirt of dielectric grease on each connector and I've never had one go bad on me!

Ok I have a full system otw and the one part I am worried about is install the nuts for the sub. Is there a easy way to get these set in or do I need to find someone with the setting tools?

I made my own tool see post #11 in the thread below, was a pain to set them, but They were set in tight with no issues.

Update: I also heard that the DeeZee tailgate assist comes with a similar tool that you can reuse to set those nutinserts.

I wasn't able to get them set, even following suggestions and ideas from this website and others. So I just went to the hardware store and bought three nuts that fit the supplied bolts, and three washers. It's very easy to attach two of the nuts from underneath the truck. As for the third nut, just have to remove the jack and reach your hand into the jack storage location to attach the nut. All very easy.

This applies to SCrew's, not sure about the other can configurations.

I stopped by the dealer today and they said when I am ready to come in and they will put them in really quick. So one last thing I have to worried about.

Default Received mine friday

I received mine last Friday from Rogel Ford, delivery was super-fast. Installation was a breeze, about 3 hours and not difficult at all. Sounds amazing and clear, base is great it fill the cab really well.

The only issue I had was the 3 screws inserts that I didn’t have the right tool for it and they spun out, so i put a lock nut from under the truck and is all secured. I regret not getting it sooner, it sound amazing.

Just installed mine from Rogel Ford and holy crap it's far better than I expected! I also have Kicker door speakers as well and it is awesome! I hated the factory speakers and this combo did the trick!
