Try this link on Kicker's site. Then you plug in your info:
http://www.kicker.com/vss
Make sure to select the correct cab (Scab vs Screw)
Then you can save the PDF file to your computer for any future reference.

Installed mine finally. Sounds good for one 10. I have an 2013 FX4 with Sony/sub and the front wire colors were the same as the instructions stated.
I was going to just install over the floor mat but it felt as if it would interfer with the sub as soon as it started moving.

Finally had a chance to get the Substage/soundgate installed today.
WOW! what a big difference. I did NOT expect it to sound & thump that good!
Thanks again to especially MCDavis (OP) and also BuiltTough45 for clarification and how simple this really is!
Definitely embarrassed of how I was over thinking all of this. (I believe mainly because it was going off track & was making me question what this thread was originally all about.
I took pics & made some detail points for anyone else to see how easy this is.
Thanks again guys!! Makes driving & listening that much more enjoyable!
********
My Details: 2013 F150 Lariat 4X4 S'crew WITH Sony system & (the Sony 700w sub).
Removed the Sony Sub...and installed this Kicker/Ford powered sub as a direct replacement. Part number: 9L3Z-18808-N
The best price so far is eBay at $325.00 shipped
Results: definitely MORE SMILES per MILES!

BTW:
I choose the "posi taps" to tap into the wires (versus the scotch-loc" type that are prone to fail). In the future, I may strip & solder the wires for a cleaner install, but the posi taps will work just fine for now. (Besides you don't see them under the door sill).

I'm happy with mine. HUGE difference between the stock sub and this one. I wish I'd know about the lower priced ones sooner. When I first saw it at $600 I wasn't going to get one. As soon as I started seeing you guys point out the $300 ones I jumped on it.

It really is the perfect size and loudness if you're just planning to replace the sub. Anything more and you'd have to replace the whole stereo as the bass would over power the factory fronts.

Goes to show how "good" that Sony really is. NOT!!!!
Don't get me wrong, it's better than some... But definitely should NOT fall in a category of a "premium" sound package.
This Kicker (FORD OEM replacement) is freakin great!!!!
