Good call on the setting. I'll play with it on the commute tomorrow morning. I might be in my early (almost mid) 30s, but I still like it loud from time to time. The 10 minute spin that I took wasn't enough time to get acquainted but I'm sure that'll settle in here soon.

Cleanmaxx Brian nice call on the -2 bass setting. It did crisp it up for sure. Maybe it's the "kid" in me still, but I set it back to -1 for a little more push. I'm impressed with the output of this sub. Sure it's not going to win any DB drags, and it won't show at SEMA as the best install, but for reinforcing the lows, not taking up more more space than the factory Sony POS, and sounding above average...it hits the mark.

For anyone looking to add some depth to your F150 I highly suggest this little package. Benny at Levittown took good care of me and shipped it for free. Total wait time from order placed to package received was about one hour shy of 7 full days (calendar, not business - Thurs to Thurs).

Update:

Still loving this sub addition. Now that I've had a chance to run around with the windows down a bunch I'm happy to report that this sub is still pounds for what it is. I have changed my settings a bit: I changed the speed sensitive setting from the 0 it was set at to 7 now. I can drive around all day at 1/2-3/4 volume and the truck compensates nicely and adds volume.

I still highly recommend this sub for anyone looking for thump without a full system pieced together.

Definitely a good upgrade. I have to say the sub and speaker upgrade was a huge difference over stock. I'll have to give the sensitivity change a try. I really haven't messed with it.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I have a question.

Do any of you who installed this have just a basic factory stereo with no sub? I just ordered one and I am beginning to think I made a mistake. Seems like it might sound like a turd because I dont have a dedicated low frequency line from the radio. Every install thread I see people have upgraded radios also and not the standard factory stereo. I have a 2012 with standard Ford dot matrix radio.

Did you read the post right before yours? I have the Kicker Substage and standard radio, I upgraded all the 5x7 door speakers and pillar tweeters to Infinity Reference-X's! Still have the stock HU, sound went from a 2 up to a 8 for me out of a possible 10!

I have a 12 XLT Screw, worst factory stereo ever, new door speakers are a must! Head Unit too, but thats not happening for me!
