I've had mine for over a year and still love this mod!
What an ingenious idea & follow thru to make such a great mod!
If anyone has been on the fence about doing this & getting these.... Start taking some aspirin or Advil to take the pain away from kicking yourself so many times for NOT getting these sooner!!!!!

I'm lethalweapon_09 & I approve of this message!!!!!

I've had mine on for three days now and I still find myself trying to catch the door as I am worried it is going into the last detent spot and hit something. Of course it doesn't as it is in the middle detent spot and perfectly secure. Still can't believe Ford didn't do this originally as the space is obviously there. Oh well. Nice mod and probably will save many dings. Thanks!

Those that have installed them already, it looks as though the parking brake assembly has to be removed to facilitate installing.. is that the case?

I haven't installed mine yet due to the bad weather here the past few days, but I don't see anything in the directions saying to do anything to the parking brake...Looks pretty straight forward.

Not sure where you saw that but no, it does not. Took me 40 minutes and that was with a phone call in the middle that took a while. Fairly easy.

Rnlcomp.... No need to remove the E brake assembly at all. I do recommend tying a string to the detents "just in case" you loose your grip & drop it in between the panels. I didn't have to use it, but after you install them, you'll see the possibility of it being a PITA to retrieve it... so use the string. I had both of mine done in a little over 1/2 hour. RH side is a little trickier, but still straight fwd. With your background, knowledge & skills, it will be a total walk in the park for you.
But seriously, these are nicer than most even realize! You WILL wonder why you didn't do it sooner!

I used a wire hangar so that I could control it all the way, the passenger side is harder than the drivers side, but that being said took about 40 - 50 minutes total including explaining to the wife what I was doing.

When finished I parked next to her car again and opened the door letting it swing a little bit and she jumped to catch it from hitting her door but it stopped before it got there.

This is the 2nd set that I have put on trucks and would love to have the same for the rear doors for the grocery run.
