The Line-X premium is a good option. It doesn't fade in the sun. A good cheap mod is to put a DeeZee tailgate assist on there. I'd also look into retrofitting the interior lights to LED.

Decided not to get a spray in liner since the bed won't be taking any abuse . I'll go with a rubber mat or rug bed .
Does anyone have a Tonno Pro hard fold cover? I really like the BAK VP but it's $200+ more.

I had the BakFlip VP and got it for $596 shipped. I had planned on trading the truck so I sold it, but after going to dealerships and not finding what I want I decided to keep it. I bough a used G2 on eBay and like it more than the VP. Check Craigslist and eBay.

+1

Couldn't be happier with my roll-x. I keep it protected with 303 and it looks and functions great. I bought mine from 4wheelaparts and it shipped for 719.99 but not sure what the pricing is like today, this about 4 months ago.

I have 3" rear blocks from Ready-Lift if you are interested in them that I am taking off my truck. If interested PM me.

You have a nice truck, and went with the 6.5' bed! My choice exactly.

I'd get the spray in liner. I dont really haul stuff, but over time you WILL use it, and it WILL get damaged. my father's bare bed is a mess after all the years, and a spray in liner is cheap (considering) prevention that is permanent. I had the ford spray in and love it, don't second guess it!

for the cover, I'm a personal fan of ARE

Mods to suggest:
DeeZee tailgate assist
window tint (see local laws, and go another step lighter than allowed just in case)
coilovers are a big change in ride quality and I love mine, give 3" lift, 2.5" rear block
also consider the all weather floor mats, if you dont have them, from ford.
Wheel well liners from ford as well, if you dont have them

Those have been my favorite mods so far. Many more options, but these are the ones that I recommend the most so far :P and yes, welcome to the platinum club.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the roll x is a vinyl cover with no aluminum. I want more of a secure cover that is waterproof and can't be sliced open. Can't bring myself to spraying the bed as it's the white platinum tri-coat. If the bed happens to get beat up down the road, scratched up then I'll have it sprayed . I'll use my utility trailer for hailing.

It does have aluminum, it is a vinyl over rolling aluminum. Check out the videos on YouTube.

Oh and about the bed, I understand fully. Look at the bed rug, for just a way of protecting it. Very reasonable and durable. You don't need the whole bedrug possibly just the mat portion.

Bed mat in mine has been perfect and I actually use my truck like a truck a few times a month.
