Default Just got an 09 Lariat

Hey guys! I'm new to the forum. I just picked up my 09 F150 Lariat this weekend. I got a line-x bed liner, mud flaps, and undercoating done to it. I love the truck and already hauled a few loads in the bed.

I am just hearing what seems to be a rubbing noise coming from the front passenger side wheel. It is making like a swooshing sound. The noise is present when applying and when off the brakes. It sounds like there is a high spot on the rotor and you hear the noise as it rotates over it. At first I thought it was built up brake dust, but after a long trip the noise was still present. Anyone have any ideas of what it might be? Is this a normal noise when the brakes are breaking in?

People still get undercoating? I thought new vehicles are built so well to resist rust, nothing is recommended by the automaker?

Nice! Enjoy the ride.

Can't help with the noise but maybe others can help.

Thanks guys.

The undercoating was done just for extra peace of mind. A bunch of friends recommended it as well. Everything seems to rust here in NJ.

Seems like the brake dust shield may have been slightly rubbing on the rotor. I pushed the ends of the shield back a little, and the noise went away.
