I am looking at the Fosgate Power Line, T165's in the doors to start things off... http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/t165, a nice 10" Clarion sub in the back, each section managed by 300W amps..... The Fosgates are not as bright as some others like the Kappas, but sport an extremely rich full figured sound. My kinda girl.

Fosgates:
Configuration: 2-Way Full-Range Midrange Diameter (in): 6.5"
Midrange Depth (in): 1.93"
(49mm)
Tweeter Diameter (in): 1.0"
(25.4mm)
Tweeter Depth (in): n/a
Frequency Response: 65Hz - 22kHz
Nominal Impedance: 4-Ohm
Power Handling (RMS): 70 Watts RMS
140 Watts MAX
Crossover: Built-in tweeter crossover
High-Pass (HP): 12dB/octave Butterworth
Sensitivity
(dB @ 1 watt/1 meter): 88dB

I am curious as to how you are going to wire up those amps.

3 monoblock amplifiers

Sorry just seen that it should be 2 amps not 3. But im doing 1 amp for 2 subs run 2 ohm load should get 1000 to 1200 a set of 2 subs. It should get down and loud. CANT WAIT!!
And with the seat kit it gave plenty enough we figure sealed box after braces and woofer displacement each 8" sub should have .5 to .6 cuft. It falls right in what Kicker recommends for that L7 8"

For you guys that kept the stock 4.3in sync head unit how are you getting the amp to turn on with the truck? Last install I did was on my 01 chevy with an aftermarket unit and it had the blue amp control wire.

Connect the remote wire of the amp to the radio fuse in the fuse box below the passenger glove compartment. You might need a fuse tapper because the newer fuses on the truck are super tiny now.

I like it when the meter's jumpin', when the tweeter's tweetin', and when the back seat's bumpin' from the bass...ha ha ha

Exactly why I went with the Kenwoods. Not as bright.

Now that they have broken in, they have excellent midrange and bass. Just right for door speakers IMO, but not enough to keep me from buying a sub!

It will pound without a doubt.. I walked into my car stereo place and told the guy I wanted 2 10's or 2 12's under my rear seat. He had my exact set up (500 watt phoenix gold amp and single 8 inch L7) on the floor as a demo unit. Asked me what type of music I liked, threw on the Satellite radio and I couldn't believe the thump. I was sold and only have a single 8 inch. I am coming from a 12W7 JL that was pushed by an 1800 watt mono channel amp so you can say I was kind of spoiled by good bass. JL subs can re-produce such a wide frequency of bass that i find myself missing bass lines I used to hear with the 12W7.
