Default Just Bought a 2014 F150 Lariat with 13k miles

Hello everyone. Im just joining this forum and bought a 2014 Ford F150 Lariat with 13k miles. Excited to have one, this will be my first truck. I have quite the taste in cars because Ive also been driving mercedes benz cars for over 14 years and currently also own an 09 S550. Well see if the F150 makes me want to get rid of it Ill Have to say its a beautiful truck... not a mercedes but you cant haul or tow in a mercedes lol. Im also a enthusiast DIY wrencher that has done extensive repair work on cars so plan on having DIY posts as I do maintenance on it.

Welcome aboard! I think you will love the 150 a lot, it's not going to handle like the Mercedes obviously but i think once you've had a while to drive it around and use it like a truck I think you will be in love. You didn't specify what engine or cab config. If it's a supercrew and you have family, I have a suspension you will do a lot of weekend driving with the family. Post some pics when you have time.

Will do! Its got a supercrew Cab and 5.0l engine 145" wheel base. Ill be picking it up mon after the holiday. Ill have to say it runs pretty dam smooth for a truck. Cruising its no different than riding in my S550. Going over bumps its bot bad either... and it doesnt cost 4000 dollars to replace a strut lol.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new truck. I have a 13 Lariat and love the trucks ride. I think you will too. Seeing this post on Christmas day was ironic for me. I lost a very good friend last Dec. He went by (Nick the Greek)

Thank you and I cannot wait to get the truck! The interior is just as nice as my mercedes. The only thing im worried about is the modding bug lol. I used to have an 07 Mustang gt that I modded the hell out of. I installed ford racing hotrod cams, 4.10 ring and pinion gear, a tune, and bassani throaty exhaust. I think im going to stick with bone stock on the F150 but who am I kidding? Sorry to hear about your friend and may he rest in peace. What is also ironic is I lost my father 22 years ago this day as well when he had a heart attack in his sleep on christmas eve. Its amazimg how quickly and unexpectedly you can lose someone close, but the good lord has a plan for everyone. You Have a happy holiday and expect pics coming soon!

I still have a 40th Anniversary Mustang as well. My favorite mods on my truck have been the Amp Research Steps and my retractable tonneau cover. Sorry about your father too.

OP, I just got my first truck as well a month ago. 2014 XL Super Crew. It came with my new job, so it's a company truck but it's mine. I've owned BMWs for the last 20 years and have to say I actually enjoy driving my truck more. The family loves riding in it because it is so huge on the inside. The seats are very comfortable and the ride is smooth. I think you will find yourself driving the Merc a lot less.

Picking up the truck later this evening. The first thing I am thinking about doing is putting a tonneau cover and a flush mount toolbox in the bed. Pics to come later tonight. Any thoughts on which tonneau covers are good? I was looking at the Bakflip HD. Thinking about going with that and a cheap plastic toolbox since the cover will keep it secure.
