As of now the audison is out of my budget unfortunately.
I'm stuck between the cleansweep but after this thread I think I'm going with jl.
Just don't know wether to purchase the ssi aswell.

I've got the MS-8 great piece. Easy to use and auto setups up, I'm an old school installer and am particular about my stereo and the MS-8 does everything I want it to. The Bit one is nice but pricy.

Of those options I would use the audio control, I have put tons of the lc8 into trucks with the Sony system and it works very well another good one if you want more control and don't mind spending a few dollars the Rockford 360 is a fantastic product it is easier to set up and more user friendly than the clean sweep with a bit better sound in the end, and you can program it to use the factory volume control which most people prefer.

I've had the cleansweep setup in my truck now for 3 years. I've posted these pics before in other threads and they may be helpful here also....
I've been pleased with the cleansweep system...I got em at a great price $150 for the SSI and DSP components....I will say if my budget was so small i would have went with a RF 360.3 or something more robust only because the cleansweep doesn't really offer any extra frequency tuning after it's done it's job. This is why I added an EQ to help me tweak the system how I wanted it after it was cleaned up from the factory signal.
Also, there is a sweet spot for the cleansweep if you plan on using your existing volume controls and finding the noise floor that is acceptable. The cleansweep system wants it's control **** to be the primary volume control. I found in my truck to set it around the 85% mark and that seems to keep the noise low while still allowing me to use the factory volume controls.
As Hotcat stated, it's designed to help you get a good signal from the truck easily, you'll just have to find that sweet spot that works for your ears

Ended up going with the Jl cleansweep
I have no clue as to how to install it unfortunately, just doing research and well looks like I need it to use my headunit... The pic posted is helpful, do I need the circled hardware though?
Also Ill be running 2 amps, I'm sure my set up will change. Ended up going to best buy today and they're charging 125 to install the cleansweep + 100 for each amp. Is that reasonable? I think I can do this myself, just need more info on how to wire it.

Nope, that device isn't required. It's the eq I added to help me tweak the sound how I wanted.
You mentioned, you had the Sony system but i don't think you specified if you had the nav/Sony system? I know for sure that one will require you taping into the speaker wires at the amp under the middle console. I'm not sure if the non-nav/Sony setup is the same.
I did the install myself so I'm out of touch on what's a good shop price these days sorry

Yes, I have the sony/nav system in my truck. I'm also aware that I need to tap into wiring that have full range signal?? Or something like that.
I'm more then sure I can install it, what confuses me is the wire tapping part of it all.

Master FORD tech
Before placing my order from Crutchfield I made a call to JL audio to confirm if I needed the SSI or not. I have the myford(non touch screen) and they told me the system already has full range so the SSI was not needed.
I'm curious if anyone with MyFord touch/Sony sound installed just the DSP without the SSI and were able to get the DSP to successfully calibrate?
The SSI will work whether or not its needed so I'm wondering if people are wasting money on something that will make no difference.
If you have the ability to do the install yourself I would not install the SSI and see if it calibrates without errors.

Maybe I'll continue on as planned and try getting it installed tomorrow still
