Any body try jacking the front wheels off of the ground by putting the jacks under the tow hooks?

Yeah I agree they would probably just bend. You have to go to something a lot more solid like the frame.

Look at the design of the hooks and take a guess. They're made for horizontal-plane strength, not vertical.

Put a couple tow straps through the hooks and onto my forklift and jack the sumbitch up in the air.

I haven't but I would if I was in a real bind or stuck with a hi lift. I think my friend had on his 08 150.
