Iso 2014 f150 screw
I'm in the market for a 2014 SCREW. I don't intend on towing anything so my 1st engine choice is the 3.7 V6, with the 5.0 V8 2nd. My only option gotta have is the 301A (specifically the adj pedals).
A large dealer in my area is selling the SCREW for 29,xxx so that's my price point as of now. With the nearest dealer selling for $34,xxx - as advertised.
The MPG both seems pretty comparable overall.
Opinions as to one engine over the other?
How much more can I get it down to?
I'm not in a hurry, but how much longer should I wait to buy?

I just got a brand new 2014 F-150 today! I traded in my 2011 Supercrew. My 2011 had the Ecoboost and the new 2014 does as well. I did get pretty good pricing as we had a hail storm come through the other day. I got a total of $11,000 of the MSRP. I tried to get a little more off however they would not budge. The dealer did throw in Gap coverage and 100,000 mile warranty to sweeten the deal. The 2014 I ended up getting had the least amount of hail damage on the lot. It was parked under a tree, all I need to do is throw a new hood on and I am good to go. The rest of the body is perfect. To help you out, if you are not going to tow anything and do not need 4WD I would go with the 3.7-You will get a satisfied driving experience however no thrills. If you need 4WD then go with the 5.0. This engine is great and very efficient for a V-8. I am going to steer you away from the Ecoboost unless you plan on using it in high elevation areas. This is where the Ecoboost shines. Otherwise if you go with the ECO it will be over kill in what you are planning to use your truck for. I have the 301-A option in my new 2014 XLT and could not be happier with these options. As far as pricing on the 3.7 you are looking at. You should be able to negotiate pretty decent on these. There is not a large demand for a 2wd 3.7-For the 5.0 if you go with the 2WD option, some negotiating power you will have, if you go with the 4wd option, you could still get a deal however just know the incentives will lessen at this point. If you are in no hurry I would wait-In another month or so Ford is really going to ramp up their incentives to make way for the new 2015's. If you are in a hurry, Check out Centennial Colorado Groove Ford. Where I got mine and there is some steep incentives with the hail damage. Of course that is if you don't mind a little damage or mind getting the vehicle repaired.

I just got back from my local dealer.
They actually showed me the sticker price as the starting point! The best they could do was $32,000 OTD including $650 for my 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis with 177,000 miles.
I said thanks but call me when you get closer to my number.
Terry, what dealer did you buy your SCREW at? San Diego is a lot closer than CO.
The dealership has only been open for 3 weeks so the salesman (2 weeks on the job) didn't know anything about the F150 so I had to teach HIM about the truck.

I would opt for the 5.0 of you can. Resale will be a lot better and you wikk have a lot more power with hardly any difference in fuel economy.
