USMC, First, thanks for your service! I recently did a whole lot of research on HD bumpers for my '11 F150 Fx4 5.0l because I live where deer and antelope roam, amongst other large critters. I also do some minor off roading to get to hunting and fishing spots and found that they put trees and cattle fences in the dumbest of places- luckily just a few near misses while sliding in gumbo.
For some of the best prices and a good selection to get an idea of what's out there, I recommend checking out the following sites if you haven't already done so- bumpersuperstore.com and builtfortrucks.com. I had it narrowed down to the following bumpers: FabFours premium w/ guard, ICI Magnum w/ guard (old style), Road Armor w/ lonestar guard and Buckstop (buckstop.biz). I checked out Ironbull, Iron Cross, Boondock, TDK (Throttle Down Kustoms- www.throttledownkustoms.com), and Tactical Armor Group (http://www.tacticalarmorgroup.com/) amongst others, but shied away for one reason or another. Tactical Armor Group is fairly inexpensive compared to others.
Keep checking craigslist, that is where I got very lucky and found my Road Armor w/ lonestar guard.

That's my hope. Now I just need to get larger, better tires for a little more clearance to get over the smaller critters, rocks or bumps, and for better traction in the gumbo and snow.
Ha, I'll keep that in mind should I sell my truck in the future. From one veteran to another, I'd give you a great deal.
