I have been having this same problem for several months now. It seemed to start after I had a Ford door lock keypad installed. The dealer tried deactivating the keypad but the problem remains although it happens much less frequently. Have you recently changed anything electrical? The theory was that the keypad was in some way interfering with the cluster.

Default cluster problem

I eventually traded the truck because we needed an extended cab to take the grandkids with us on trips. My dealer never was able to figure out the problem even though he involved the factory engineer. The most helpful thing for the dealer was that I was able to capture my cluster problem on my cell phone camera, which allowed him to prove the problem to the factory engineer. The problem was occurring weekly after a few months, but dropped back to semi-monthly after disabling the key pad lock.

Mine does the same thing. All the lights on the cluster come on and off, tach/speedo will stop working, it will even beep a lot. This started only happening every once in a while but it is now becoming a daily thing. I am thinking about just replacing the instrument panel, but I can't even find where to get a new instrument panel. This is the most frustrating/annoying problem I have ever had.

Your post seem to match exactly what is going on with my 07 King Ranch. Were you ever able to diagnose a problem and determine a solution? I pulled every fuse in my fuse box a month ago. Not one of them was blown. I then drove it around and it seemed to have gone away. Then yesterday my cluster panel went back to acting like it was possessed. All my lights turning on, gauges dropping to zero, beeping noise..then it changing from lights to gauges...looks like a circus. Trying to figure out if there is a fix i can do before taking to the dealership. Someone has to have solved this issue.

from other posters that had this problem it was simply a cracked solder on ic circuit board- but u hav to be comfortable removing the ic to get a solder iron to fix it - hope this helps.

I had gauge sweeps in my 06 150 for a few months as well as other things like the shifter lock engaging so you can't get it out of park. It also got to where it wouldn't hardly drive one time. Two things to check. First your fuse panel ground. My truck I bought used back in September and it came from Ohio and had some rust. The body was rusted out where the ground screws into it for the fuse panel. So I re-did that ground and added another ground for the fuse panel. Second I think someone already mentioned checking your battery cables and terminals which I did as well and that so far has fixed my problem. I think it's been two months maybe three and I've had no problems that way. This is my daily driver. Hope that helps.
