There are a couple of ways to go ...
  1. trim the Raptor grille.
Trim-off the clips and bolting flanges leaving a ¾" ledge (which becomes the attachment point) across the top of the grille.

This negates any trimming of the cap.
  2. trim the Raptoid hood cap.
Trim-off all but a ¾" ledge (which is the attachment point) across the bottom of the hood cap.

This is the option that I chose since the OEM Raptor grille remains intact and could be sold down-the-road to a Raptor owner.

Welp as with all best-laid-plans (no trimming of the grille required) ... It was necessary to trim a very small portion of the inside of the Raptor's grille corners. This however, did not affect it being (re)used on an actual Raptor.
Attention reider03 - This is/was the reason for the delay in providing you with cap+grille installation instructions. (complete with pic's, arrows, and blathering)
Either one of these options makes for a quick and easy installation.

Awesome, I'll definatley be reading your instructions before installing mine.
Did you attach the hood cap to the oem grille with screws or superglue?

I think I included some U-Nuts and screws for you as I just got them in with this past order. The U nut will also maintain they proper spacing of the grille to the hood cap to match the headlight to the hood, but I'm not sure if my "stock location" for the u nut will work with an OEM grille, if you can feed back whether this works, or if you moved it, provide me the measurements so I can properly place them in the future.

Sure thing. Are the U-nuts and screws used on the trimming the hood cap method or trimming the oem raptor grille method, or doesn't matter?

Neither.

¾" 3M™ Automotive Acrylic Plus Attachment Tape.

I've used it in the past 20 years to attach spoilers, panels, emblems, etc., etc., etc. and have never had any problems.

doesn't matter, either way, or use the 3M Stuff Joe used. That stuff is amazing.

I got one but I was looking to sell it locally because it will cost an arm and a leg for me to ship it.

Where are you located? I'm in Atlanta area. I'm sure it wouldn't make any sense to ship. Thanks though!
