Great looking truck! Is the grill a direct fit and where did you buy it? Also, you did a great job installing it...perfect alignment.

Regarding Raptoid hood cap, install, etc. ...
reider03 (vendor here and a.k.a. boost-bars.com) offers components and an entire install of a Raptor-like grille. *Details - Raptor Style Grille Kit for NORMAL F150
For quite a while I was working on a F-150 grille hack to install an OEM Raptor grille on a F-150, however, abandoned it after the above offering.

Already had an OEM Raptor grille (with running lights) so all I needed was the Raptoid hood cap component of the boost-bars kit. With very minor mod's, the cap was applied and made for a direct, plug-and-play installation.

I owe reider03 the cap+OEM grille installation instructions and will be providing them shortly.

Don't have a Raptor grille? The boost-bars Raptoid kit components include ...
  • hood cap.
  • grille. *Non-OEM
  • F O R D letters.
  • lights. *Non-OEM
  • lower grille. *Non-OEM (mine's enroute).
Personal customer comments ...
EXCELLENT! product quality and customer service.

TMurphy11 ... I'm thinking of doing this.
EDIT: If you decide to go the cap with an OEM Raptor grille install ... I have another -used- OEM Raptor grille (sans running lights, EXCELLENT condition) that I need to sell. Just send me a PM if you're interested. -SOLD-

Looks awesome man, mine should be delivered next week.
One question, did you paint the raptoid hood cap before or after attaching it to the hood?

Since the hood cap was already gloss BLACK and the exterior paint is BLACK (non-Tuxedo) no painting was involved.

If, however, the cap needed to be painted I would recommend painting it BEFORE attaching it to the hood.

With the route that I took (cap+OEM-grille) ... if the cap needed to be painted, it should be AFTER any cap modifications (needed to be trimmed) and then BEFORE attaching it to the hood.
