It allows you to run the fogs whenever regardless of hi beam lo beam running lights etc. because right now they only run with lo beams or turning to parking lamps.
I believe it's just some re-wiring and isn't supposed to be hard but I'm challenged when it comes to wiring anything beyond a simple splice
EDIT:
Ok so I did a quick look since you reminded me. From someones post "Lets the fog lights stay on with the high beams. Open your fuse box and look for relay 202, bend pin 1 over the side, slide on a spade connector and ground it to the ground point outside of the fuse box"
I cant seem to find the big or official thread. Was also told to look at this video but this is definitely not a 13 engine bay

Agreed seadragon. The few LEDs on the edge of the bulb likely simulate the output of the filament, but the two crammed in the end that project directly out from the truck aren't doing anything but throwing light out of the domed lens.
I still am happy with my purchase, and enjoying the banter back and forth on the lights.

I think if you found yourself creeping along at 10 mph in abnormally thick dense fog.. the halogen's you'd want..
For the other 364 days I'll take the rug matching the curtains

Personally, I prefer no rug...wait, wrong forum!!
It started the typically "VA wintery mix" on my way to work this morning. It was predominantly snow, and thick at times for Central VA at least. I played with the fogs on/off during my drive in and I will once again say that the lack of contrast is the biggest factor in my opinion. The LEDs do throw a ton of light, it's just harder to differentiate between them and the HIDs. The LEDs do throw a wider light very near the truck and that is nice to see.

No I know there's a thread about it and I have it saved but I'm probably not going to find it until it's install time.

Mine should be here today, and a perfect day to test seeing we got fog here. I dont have HID but i just put a set of the PIAA halogen bulbs which are 10X then stock. Post pics and fog review when I get it done.
