If you're not driving with tow mirrors then you're not driving a truck!

Use my power fold every time I go in my garage. I think next best feature is auto dimming. I tow a 5th wheel camper and get away with my mirrors (I put a camera in the back of my camper), but like I said, I won't upgrade unless it's all power.
I see the 13s have them but until an aftermarket joint can come out with an option less than the $1300 Ford is selling theirs at, I'll wait.

I cannot imagine towing with that tiny OEM mirrors. I got the giant mirrors for my 1st tow, and i said, "dang, why Ford even give us such a small mirrors and tell us to tow with them!".
I highly recommend these tow mirrors... a few bucks will save u some headache and makes u feel safer being able to see all around you

Your right. You need the power fold, I use mine all the time in parking lots, boat ramp, and going thru car wash. You need the power fold. I would say the heated mirror is second on the list of must have. I don't really use the power extend, don't tow a huge camper. Once you have them you will love them and will notice a huge diff from the stock mirrors.
I find leaving the mirrors in the driving position keeps idiots from parking too close to my truck anyway. I have literally seen people pull into a parking lot next to my truck, look at the mirrors them back out and look for another spot.
Again I don't mind the manual fold, but then again I never minded getting out and locking my own hubs.

Having power fold is a nice luxury addition, but largely not necessary. Even though I don't have power-fold, I have yet to ever fold the mirrors manually anyway.

Compensate much?
I have the normal mirrors, and originally wanted the tow mirrors. They weren't available on my build preference so I skipped them. I agree the convex area does offer a great view for tight areas. The regular portion of the mirror is the same as the standard mirror though. And the standard mirrors come with a small convex area now too, so that was enough for me. If you tow a lot, or don't have a back up camera for backing into tight areas, then the Dumbo ears are well worth it.

To another poster - yeah, I agree, I should have held out for the 6'5" box and not accepted the 5'5" the dealer found me.

guess you don't park in a tight spot like I do, and never have to close your mirrors witch is awesome for you but I do. so I got a old cane and use it to pull my passenger side in to park my rig and never have to get out and spin it around and I can push it back out to driving location
Parking a truck in a garage is for girly-men, just like a dog, that truck wants to be outside.
On a serious note, I see it looks like you have to park in a parking garage or complex. In which case, don't take this the wrong way but I would have bought a Tacoma or Ranger if this were my daily parking situation.

Well, actually, up here in Canada eh? it's the law to have proper mirrors on your truck when towing. I had to use those stupid clip on mirrors for the first 2 trips with the trailer I bought. Yes, 26 feet isn't long, but it's just as wide as other travel trailers. When we had the little R-POD, it was fine, as that trailer is narrow (body width just under 80") so it was legal to have the standard mirrors. So even though I have the backup camera, I needed the tow mirrors to tow a full size trailer.

I'm sure a flatbed or car hauler wouldn't get you stopped or pulled over with the standard mirrors but you never know.

No my truck gets parked outside in the driveway, like most trucks should J/K. Wifey's "car" gets the cozy garage.
