Yes. My Dad has gotten a few. My understanding is you make an account online. Then down load the MFT update, and then request the new MAP SD card.
I don't have my truck yet, so I'm going off of what my dad has told me.
You can also go to your dealer.
Someone that has done it before could probably give you a better description.

Anyway, I hope someone chimes in hear if they get free maps. Seems like plenty would have done it by now.

Me too... Never seen free map updates in an OEM setup... and I refused to pay $200/year for map updates on our '10 Taurus. The 2013 F150 I was going to buy absolutely could NOT have navigation. NavTeq gets $200 per year for updates. Garmin uses NavTeq too (as do all other civilian GPS systems), but with the Garmin I get lifetime map updates for $89, and get to update up to 4 times per year if necessary (Garmin sends me an e-mail if there's an update).
I just finished mounting my Zumo 665 mount in my FX4. Pics to come.

I find it easy to also use Ford SYNC destinations app from the app store. You pick your destination and then via bluetooth it will send the route to your MFT by clicking the 'Send to SYNC' button from the application. You don't need applink for this to work.

I like how I can research where I want to go and then send that location to the truck from either my phone or any computer.

Thanks again for everyone's feedback. I bought my truck with the 8" screen for backup camera and other MFT uses, but skipped the $800 Nav option for various reasons. I don't use gps/nav that often, plus the map updates are indeed $200 each according to Ford. Free MFT/Nav updates from Ford - yes. Free map updates - No. I opted for a new Garmin Nuvi 7" screen that offers free map and traffic updates for life. It also has great voice recognition and better lane assist, split screen, POI, and other features. The biggest drawback is the the additional GPS to haul around, but that is also a positive since I can use it in my wife's Edge and take it on business trips for rental cars. If I used the gps/nav more often I would have opted for the integrated Nav for ease of use and security. It sounds like they have most of the bugs worked out now.
