I have had both, my 2011 Lariat had a 5.0 and my current 2013 FX4 has an eco boost, I feel the 5.0 was a better engine, it sounded more solid, I got better fuel economy and if I had to own a truck, I would choose the 5.0 for longevity. I lease so I don't care, my FX4 has the Eco-boost, it blows the 5.0 away in speed, it is a lot of fun to drive, I love the turbo sound, it gets 1-2 MPG less than my 5.0, but I think for longevity it is not as durable, it just doesn't sound like a truck engine, it sounds a little tinny compared to the 5.0.

Hey "HCFX2013" I like your sense of humor. You got me with my misspelling of Ecoboost while I was typing after Midnight and a little tired. I will try harder, so keep an eye on me and keep me on the straight and narrow.
