I screwed up...fuse block question
I wanted my GPS to power on and off with the ignition, and didn't want cords/cables hanging down the dash. I thought I'd just use one of those old school spade things that you hook over the fuse and push back into the fuse block. Well, they work OK on regular size fuses but no so well on the mini's. I later ended up discovering the "add-a-fuse" (very slick) but not before messing up.
When I was trying to tap into the ignition fuse (15 amp) I managed to spread the contacts inside the fuse block. I was able to get the truck started again only by bending the spades on the fuse so they'd make contact. I can just see this causing me a headache somewhere 5 years from now, probably on a cold, dark night in the middle of nowhere.
Can the fuse block be pulled out and those contacts be squeezed back together? Or do you have to replace the whole fuse block? Everything works fine right now but???
