I really want HD radio!

Well folks, I started an internet search a while back and found there's a discontinued HD radio transmitter box that goes up under the dash and has an LCD display you bolt up to the bottom of the dash board, but users said the display gets hotter than a pistol and stops working.
So, I decided to buy this:

Not nearly as elegant of a solution, but the reviews state that if you use a 2 foot male to male mini stereo jack and put the unit on top of the dash where it gets better reception it gives good HD sound. I'll let you know what I find out. Unit arrives tomorrow.

I agree hd radio does sound much better than stock. My Kenwood 892 has it, and its cleaner sounding.
Also my new Sirius XM 300 tuner, sound 5x better than the ford one. The stock ford hu sirius tuner sounds like ****!

That way itll pick up the analog signal 1st, then within a few seconds if availible grab onto the Digital signal.

With good reception HD radio blows the doors off of Sirius Xm by a significant margin. I'd cancel Sirius in a minute if I lived in another part of the country, I live in the mountains and don't have good strong reception a lot of the times. That is the reason i'm kind of forced to suscribed to Sirius anyway. But when I'm in a good reception area HD radio is way better, don't know anything about an add on module since i've got an aftermarket HU that has a HD tuner.

OK HD Radio fans, listen up!
I received my little Insignia HD radio last night (see link above for the unit for sale on amazon) and plugged it into the "line in" mini stereo jack and Boom! I have HD radio in the truck.
The only rock and roll station left in Houston has a weak analog signal and this brings it in loud and CLEAR. I'm really happy about this, even if I have something plugged into my dash and sitting on top of the dash in the center speaker tray (which seems to give me the best reception depending on which station I'm listening to).
1,000,000 times BETTER than Sirius Xm radio. Not tinny. Not compressed. And I don't mind pushing a button on the dash when commercials come on to listen to my HDD music for a while.
Adding HD radio to my truck cost me a whopping $50 in total and it's portable too.
