Default 2010 f150 Intermittent Starting Issue

I have a 2010 f150 that I bought used around a year ago. I like my truck but it has a bad issue that is getting worse and worse. It all started a couple months after I had the truck when it wouldn't start for me one day. It rather quickly (few minutes) started and then it didn't do it again for a couple months.

This is now become something that happens a couple times a week and it is making my life miserable. When the truck won't start now it can last for up to around 4 hours until it decides to start. The truck will not crank or do anything when this happens. All the lights and accessories work but the truck will not turn over. I have a video that I am sharing a link to in this post.

I have already replaced the battery, replaced the starter and replaced the batteries in my key fobs. None of this helped the problem. I do have an aftermarket stereo installed but it happened prior to that being put in the truck.

Here is the video of the truck acting up on me. Any help or advice is appreciated.

I will also note that I have tried unhooking the negative cable on the battery when this happens and that doesn't seem to fix the issue as well as trying another starter relay when it is acting up. This truck is making me crazy.

Looks like your antitheft is flashing. Which means either the key deprogrammed itself (rare but happens) or your transponder **** the bed. Too bad you don't have access to a nice scanner with antitheft capabilities. Time to take her in I believe sir.

Are you referring to the PATS transceiver module attached to the steering column? This problem is driving me crazy since it doesn't happen all the time but the truck keeps leaving me stranded. I have tried both keys that came with the truck and this problem happens with both of the keys so I think I can rule them out of the mix. Could it also be the PCM causing the issue?

Any luck tracking down this issue, f150stl? If not, you can always get this into the hands of your local Ford Dealership. How many miles are on your truck?

The truck has around 46K miles on it and it went back into the dealership that installed a starter on 6/26 that didn't resolve the problem. It is a Buick dealership that usually gets me right in to look at issues. I had a horrible experience with the Ford dealership across the street from the Buick dealer. They pretty much charged me 1 hour of labor and told me my truck was fine. I got stranded about 20 times after that and I will never go back to them for any reason. This Buick dealer is in a network that has a Ford dealership and he said he will take it to them if they can't figure out my problem.

I will trade it in soon if this doesn't get resolved and most likely never buy another Ford. I hope this gets fixed soon.

Over an intermittent no start? Hardly a reason to rid a vehicle. Have you had them look at the PATS?

I told them today I firmly believe it is a PATS issue. This truck has stressed me out more than any vehicle that I have ever owned. I don't mind working out or walking when it is planned but getting stranded when you need to be somewhere is very frustrating.

I hope it gets fixed this time. The 4 wheel drive also acts up on me but I can drive it in 2 wheel drive 99% of the time. I can live with that problem.
