I'd really appreciate it if any one with a 2010 F150 with 4.6L, has to be this exact combination, would do a simple drive test for me.

Simply accelerate up past 15 MPH and take your foot off the gas and the brake and coast and tell me what the truck does. Does it eventually slow down? If so, to what speed? You must do this on level ground for it to be a valid comparison. Downhill, it is probably normal not to shed speed.

Every car I have ever driven slows down to a few MPH (maybe 2-5) but not our truck. It goes 15 MPH with the foot off the gas and brake and will do so until it either runs out of gas or hits something.

Ford states this is normal.

Does your truck do it?

I have a 2010 F150 with 4.6L. I don't know that I've ever notice my truck doing that but I can find out early tomorrow morning and get back to you.

Thanks, but remember it has to be on level ground when you do this simple test.

Default '94 with 4.9

I sold it last month, but I am pretty sure it would hold 15mph like you said. It had a very strong idle and I always loved that I could get to third gear with no gas if I wanted to on level ground....like in slow traffic

Thanks for doing that test for me.

What speed does it slow to?

I know you said you sold it, but are you saying that the truck would accelerate on its own and upshift to third without you touching the gas? Wow, that is pretty bad. This truck certainly is not that far gone. That sounds like a severe problem that makes ours look tame.

This truck will creep forward if you just idle off the line at a few MPH like would be expected. It will not accelerate beyond a creep. This issue is not acceleration from idle; it is lack of deceleration from any speeds above 15 mph on coasting down.
