Default I looked but I get different answers...

Have a 2013 XLT screw without the Sony. Just sync and the 4 inch screen. What size speakers are in the damn doors. Crutchfield even gives different sizes.

Don't the 5x7 and 6x8 have the same bolt pattern or to my understanding almost the same speaker? Interchangable I thought?

And now you see why I asked... Going to buy 6x8's I think. Adapters are not needed right? I can just cut the stock wiring and connect them to speakers?

You shouldn't even need to cut any wiring if you get the wiring harness adapters from Crutchfield. You won't need any speaker plate adapters if you buy a 5x7/6x8 size speaker.

And yes, these two sizes are COMPLETELY interchangeable and have nearly the same cone size as well.
