Good luck on the new truck.

Just out of curiosity, what swayed you to the F-150 over the Ram?
I've been following your threads on here and the Ram forum, and the way I was reading them, it was toss up which one you would get.

Keep us posted, I'd like to see your new truck. Hope the deal works out. (And they don't stick you with another $3k worth of "fees".)

It sounds like a good deal. When I bought mine, I obviously thought it was a good deal for me, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. My thoughts are, if it is what you want and you are comfortable paying the price, then yes it's a good deal. If you're uncomfortable with the price, then just walk away. There are plenty out there to choose from. Looking forward to seeing pics!

Sounds like a great deal to me. Way to play hardball and beat them at their own game! I just love it when they say they're selling it at a loss...

Absoloutely was a toss up, I truely like the Laramie. It came down to a couple if things:

Rear seating in the F150 is more roomy than the Ram, we have two growing boys so that played in the decision

I owned a 2005 Ram, it was a POS, I swore I'd never get another Ram. Although I loved the 2013 Laramie, and it's obviously a much different/improved truck,.....little voice in back of my head

Over in the Ram forum, seems as though there's a lot of quality control issues (paint), and problems with the nav/audio

Laramie inventory is very limited where I live

In the end, the Platinum beat out the Laramie. If I wasn't able to score a great deal on the Platinum I wanted (we'll see how it goes today), then Laramie and Lariat are a coin flip for me.

The Ram is. Beautiful, fun to drive, comfortable, well trimmed out truck. If the Dealer screws with me today on the deal for the platty, I just might drive down the road and.... ......

Snowflake Wow 40 years? That's amazing. You have been true to the brand. In those 40 years have you even thought about another one? How long do you keep vehicles?

HEY ACAPS! Glad to hear about finding a gem at a sweet deal. I know I was in that forum with you talking up the roomy back seat and the crash safety of the F150(due to my own experience in a head-on collision) and happy to hear it may work out for you. 12k off is definitely a good knock off the price for a plat. As it was said before as long as you are comfy with the price then run with it. Good luck with the sale and if you get it be ready to post some pics bud!

IMO, The main things I would want in a nicer truck is heated and COOLED seats. I would like to have cooled seats in my truck! I'm so happy with my truck otherwise, I'm just not a fan of A/C but would like to have air running on my back on hot days.

I just had an exhaust installed on my truck with my headers(5.0) and it now sounds like a big block with a fairly wild cam. That reminds me, which engine did you decide on?

It does sound like you have a good deal, you should go for it.
