Default HP Tuners on a 2013 5.0??

Has anyone used HP Tuners on their 5.0? I am thinking about tinkering with my truck and HP Tuners is what I have used on my Trans Am in the past. Is there much support out there for it in case I need help?

I have the x4 with 5 custom tunes from five star. I love it, best money spent on the truck.

I have the SCT X4 with custom tunes from MPT. Good stuff. I highly recommend them.

The reason I ask specifically about hp tuners is because I already have the tuner itself, I would only have to buy the credits ($100) to start tuning. If I switched to something else I'm investing another $450+. Someone out there has bound to have tuned these trucks with hp tuners. Anyone?

I'm assuming tuning it would void warranty? Even if you switch back to stock settings?

Not that I'm aware of, unless they decide it directly broke something that you're trying to claim under warranty.

OP, I have used HPTuners on LS engines. I haven't used it on my 5.0 yet but I plan too. Majority use SCT or edge... Other handhelds. The 5.0 is a different animal then the LS. I haven't had time to do enough reading yet before I try it out. There doesn't seem to be many using it from what I've been able to find so far.

Go on the hp tuners forum. There are more and more Mustangs on there being tuned via hp. I own it too but just haven't bothered doing anything with it yet. I'm used to efi live on gm... hp on gm is very similar... but the Ford files are totally different. This isn't a bad forum but you won't find really any members here that tune themselves .... This Ford truck world is a lot less technical with modding than the gm boards I am on... even though they to have the support.

A Mustang forum would be a pretty good resource bank for self tuning as well.
